2 Thessalonians 2:1-12
Jesus died for our sins. He wasn’t killed for our sins, He died for them in accordance with the plan of God that was established before the world began.
Jesus gave up His life by His own will and power and that not only clears the Jews of condemnation and hatred for the death of Jesus, but it also does the same for us, the believers in the church. This brings to the surface the truth, that Jesus died for all of us, not because any man killed Him, but because He willingly gave up His life so that we could be saved. He did it by His own power, and He was raised to new life, again by His own power.
And none of us can take either the blame or the credit for what He has done.
